Job Advertisement: Verax Commodities LLC seeks an Operations Director who will be responsible for: Collaborate with high-performing teams across multiple functions, including logistics management, transportation, warehousing, and trade support; optimize logistics processes and systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase reliability, and enhance customer satisfaction; contribute to creating comprehensive logistics strategies to support business growth and objectives; foster strong relationships with sugar mills, sugar traders, carriers, and other external partners to ensure effective collaboration and issue resolution; stay up to date with sugar industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness; collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, finance, and production, to ensure alignment and effective communication; develop budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure logistics operations are within budget and meet business objectives; support adherence to regulatory requirements, including customs, bonded facilities, food safety standards, and company policies; promote the execution of operations in a manner that is appropriate and cost-effective; assessing customers’ requirements, adhering to high service quality standards, and conducting evaluations to ensure customer satisfaction; support customer service operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, including handling inquiries, complaints, and feedback; facilitate the evaluation and selection of goods, uphold quality control standards, maintain cost awareness, and utilize techniques to optimize efficiency in the distribution of goods, ensuring consistent performance and reliability; monitor suppliers to ensure they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods within budgetary limits; collaborate on processes related to moving goods into and out of the company’s facilities, aiming to achieve efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability in operations; facilitate inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of various products to meet customer demands and avoid overstocking; collaborate in supply chain activities, including working with suppliers, facilitating shipping and receiving, and supporting the timely distribution of products; develop product-marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns or sales promotions; perform personnel training to ensure that all relevant team members are adequately trained and informed about changes in operations; contribute to developing departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures; participate in quality control efforts to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations; assist in activities related to pricing, sales, distribution, invoices, estimates, and expenses; review financial statements, sales, and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement; identify areas needing cost reduction and improvement; coordinate budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency; set prices and credit terms for goods or services based on forecasts of customer demand; support efforts to maintain compliance with legal and safety standards, including environmental regulations and workplace safety guidelines; work closely with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to align operational activities with overall company objectives. Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, business management, or related fields; 24 Months of experience in industrial engineering, systems engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, business management, or related fields; pre-employment criminal background check; pre-employment drug screening.
